Lens guide

Try lens materials and coatings on the chart, then see how thick your own lenses would be.

Minus is short-sighted, plus is long-sighted. The view outside the lenses is blurred by the same amount.

How thick would your lenses be?

An estimate from the curvature formula opticians use. Your prescription and frame size matter far more than the brand of lens.

Coatings, honestly

Anti-glare

Cuts reflections from about 8–14% of light to under 1%. Others see your eyes, not the window; night driving is calmer. We include it on every lens.

Recommended for everyone

Blue filter

Reflects some blue-violet light and tints lenses very slightly yellow. Evidence it protects eyes is weak; some people find screens more comfortable.

Optional

Sun-reactive

Darkens in UV in about thirty seconds and clears in a few minutes. Barely darkens behind a car windscreen, which blocks UV.

Good for outdoor lives

Hard coat

Scratch resistance for plastic lenses. Standard on everything we supply, so you should never pay extra for it.

Always included

Single vision, varifocal, office

Single-vision lenses correct one distance. Varifocals blend distance, intermediate and near in one lens without a visible line; office lenses give a wide intermediate and near zone for desk work. We will suggest the type that fits how you actually spend your day.
